Your Personal Data within EWB-SWE
Engineers Without Borders Sweden (EWB-SWE) values personal integrity and the individual's right to decide over their own personal data. We therefore want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to how we handle your personal data. On this page we will try to explain what personal data is, how we use it, why we use it and how you can take part in and take control of this process.
What is personal data?
With personal data one means all data that can be linked to a specific, living individual. This can be anything from a name, ip address, email address, photo of someone, and much more. Some types of personal data is especially sensitive, this includes:
-
racial or ethnic origin;
-
political opinions;
-
religious or philosophical beliefs;
-
trade union membership;
-

-
biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person;
-

We do not collect sensitive personal data except in extremely rare cases when it is truly required. If we need to collect sensitive data we will always take extra care to make sure that we can motivate it and that the person whose data is being collected is fully aware of that this data is very sensitive and that he or she can have it removed at any time. All sensitive data will be stored encrypted to ensure it is safe even if an attacker would gain access to the files.
